This website showcases student projects completed in collaboration with Waialeʻe Lako Pono, an effort to restore abundance within the ahupuaʻa of Waialeʻe, Oʻahu.

Tensile Intervention

If you were to build off-grid infrastructure in the tropical setting, how would you do it? This project explores the advantages of simple construction techniques in an open system that can be extrapolated to conform to different functional requirements.

This speculative project for the University of Hawaii School of Architecture ARCH 341 course “Intermediate Design Studio” aspires to create exemplary sustainable, resilient landscape and architectural designs that meet community needs.

Temporary Housing Unit Wiki Hale

Hawaii is the most isolated population center on earth making it unique in its vulnerability to natural disasters such as hurricanes or tsunamis. The need for place-based, locally sourced solutions to meet the need for temporary housing in the result of such a disaster is the primary goal of this project
